yall,

i have steadily seen an increase of time between when my modem is plugged in and when i can use it. where do i look for stuff that's leaching to my computer? like suckerfish on a whale, my internet connection has obviously collected crap. i don't wish to start a new install of windows every 6 months and, yes, i have looked at hkey_local_machine\...\run in the registry. i also regularly run Spybot s&d and Ad-Aware to no avail. Ad-Aware finds cookies, but nothing else. also, my attempts at p2p are very unsuccessful. no transfers at all, nothing.
