PAL games have better graphics?

I know PAL games have a bit more resolution than NTSC, the downside being you can't see some of the bottom or top of the screen on NTSC tv's. Does this higher resolution result in slightly better graphics or visuals on an American NTSC tv? My Crystal chip automatically lets me play PAL games but I don't know if it's converting it to NTSC, letting me play real PAL or what is going on.

i have quite a few of each, and you will not notice a difference in the picture quality.
