ok heres the situation. i just bought a psp for the soul purpose of putting emulators and stuff on it but im a total newbie to this psp modding stuff. my firmware is 2.50 and i need to downgrade it to 1.5 WITHOUT grand theft auto. aparently there are ways of doing this but ive been on the net for ages and im getting all confused and frustrated. ive checked the umd "brick" writing thing and its ok. can anybody give me a straight forward step by step solution to this?! plz help!

Upgrade to 2.71 then downgrade.
Is your PSP a TA-082?

yea there is a downgrader (in the usual places) that when you hook up you psp to your compouter it will downgrade it for you. google it. good luck.

yea that was one of the ways of doing it. i have a 2.71 downgrader program i just need someone to tell me how to upgrade to 2.71 first. and my psp isnt TA-082.
