upgrade HD with dead DVD drive

Currently running xecuter 2 with Evox on 10GB HD, but my DVD drive just died.
I tried adding a PC DVD rom with a Y splitter to the thing but can't find a PC dvd drive that works.

Is there any way to upgrade the HD with a dead DVD drive?
