I bought a 50 pack of DVD-Rs and some others too. I did very little testing on them and most of them play for about 15 minutes then start to fragment, skip, and then finally stop playing all togeter on DVD players. If you have a simular problem this may help you. The cause of me having so many bad discs wasent the fault of the computer or the media, It is my Air Conditioner Window unit. It runs off 110 voltage and it makes the light dim every time it kicks in, I have a UPS so I didn't think it mattered, but apprently it does. Since i've started burning with the damn thing turned off, I've gone 3/3 perfect burns. Not a single glitch.

Moral of the story: If you have a beast thats sucks up alot of energy on the same line as your computer, turn it off while burning. I hope this helps...someone...

You know that makes sense. When I bought my first CD-R (external) every time I came in the room and truned on the light the burner would fail. And if I sat there it would work. It was pluged into a Power Supply. After I pluged it directly into the wall (stupid I know)it worked perfectly light on or not. I guess the light caused a minor surge of some sort.
