SATA hookup?

I have a question about which SATA connectors to use. I have two on my motherboard, I use one for a hard drive which is connected to the master slot. Could someone please tell me if one of these could be used for the 360 mod? I simply don't know if I can hook up a DVD drive to the extra slave slot. Any feedback on this will be very much appreciated.

well if you have the samsung you can just unplug the hard drive because you wont need it to flash the sammy drives, but if its a hitachi you can plug it into the second port, assuming its compatible with your 360 drive and it will put it in modeb for you.

Thanks Mike for the quick response!! I was hoping they were compatible. I have the Hitachi 47 drive, and plan on using SLAX for mode B.
