DMS4 EZI SE Lite problems

I had installed one of the mentioned chips onto my V7 ps2 and it worked fine for about 1 week and yesterday it started to not load after a while and/or freeze and now sometimes it just goes black after the PS2 Toxic logo comes on. is this the common EZ-Die feature that comes included :\

how do you fix the overheating issue?
I'm currently installing the DMS4 EZI LITE SE on my PS2 v15 and wouldn't want to have the same trouble
