I'm trying to update my system/firmaware files. I have tried USB on the controller ports, then the SD memory card, formated by the PS3, then put the *.pup file on it, but the PS3 say it can not find "no applicable update data was found" Can anyone help please????

OK so all u have to do is make a folder in the SD card called PS3 then in there make one called UPDATE and put the file there:))

You need folders whenever you're doing something through the cards. Music, videos, updates, etc., all require folders.
