ive just downgraded my psp to 1.5.... however to play downloaded games do i need to take further measures or is it a case of download an away to go ?

Here is a link to the 3.03 OE-C Winstaller. Its basically a easy installer that would walk you through the process of installing a Custom Firmware (namely version 3.03 OE-C).

This is the version everybody seems to recommend as it allows you to customize your xmb and what-not. Also I assume since you know what downgrading is you know what it means to "brick" your PSP. If so you will be interested to find out that these Custom Firmwares are able to recover your PSP in case of a "brick". It has a feature called "Recovery Mode", personally I do not understand how it works but to get it working here is a Winstaller to get it working. (trust me you want this feature)
