I have 2 files. They're both .mdf (Each also comes with .mds, but I don't think I need that). I want to combine them into an .iso and then burn them onto a DVD.
I tried UltraIso, but couldn't really figure out how to do it. I could open the .mdf's up, but individually and then look what's inside them...
My question is what program would do it for me?
I looked at a few guides, and most of them say Alcohol... but can any other program do it like Nero or something.
If someome can link me to a guide, I would highly appreciate it.
open DVD Decrypter and click browse look for the files.select view all files and burn the .mds file.that will work as long as the .mds and .mdf are in the same directory.
For one file the above would work great. But it can not combine them. Nero on the other hand can. If they are small enought that you can fit 2 of them on a DVD then use Nero's "make a new movie" feature. You can select as many files as you like as long as they will fit on the DVD, then burn them as one project. Or if looking to play them seperate you can burn things like DivX or AVI files as a data disc that can be played by DivX compatible players.
they are just files that tell the burner how to burn the image file, which is the MDS. If the program lets you select the MDF files then use those. It is sort of like bin and cue files with CD images
You get both but most CD burning programs will only let you select the Cue file (which is the small one that tells the burner how to burn the bin file) and will not even show the bin file.
Either one you choose should work, good thing about Nero is you will get to a part that lets you preview it so you will know what it will burn.
most programs do not combine them, they can only do one at a time. That is why i suggest Nero 7 for this. It is a very full featured program. It can combine as many as you like onto a DVD as long as they fit). It will let you make menu's so you can choose any of the files from a main menu. It can even transcode other formats (AVI, DivX or so on) into a standard DVD format so any DVD player will play it. If you look around on torrent sites i am sure you can find a copy. I do not use Nero much for games or movies, but for special projects it is one of the most feature rich, versatile programs around.
Ah ok... I guess you mean the movie feature where you make your own menus, music, background, etc...
I'll try that. The thing that bothers me though is that you can browse for videos, and stuff, but I don't have videos in regular formats like .avi or .mpeg, I have an .mds which is a disk image... so I'm not sure if it'll be able to recognise it.
