1-2.Home is grand but not without its downside if they dont give a user the option to do thigns via simple menus and surfing its like palyign a game to turn you computer on then play a game on it to check your email a bit to many wheels within wheels can be...just silly.
The down side to home is Sonys net backbone is not very ridged can lead to lagging and other issues,sony is dealing with them as its part of the main focus to the PS3.
WII:offers simple connectivity between users and a simple store for free.
360:Offers more connectivity on a polished menu and surfing browser the down side you dont get much till you pay 50 a year.
Sicne Live was always pay for they were able to get the net working well,its time MS brought free net to all 360 users at least in that it will make up for their mistakes with the 360.

3. 50GB is not needed why? CDs were spanned across 3-4 discs there is no need to switch to new hardware jsut to save from spaning games.
BR is not without its issues its slower than normal DVD9 needs more tricks and HDD caching to get a 20GB game running right,however msot of these issues should subsided in 2 years.
In 4 years games will be using 9-20 GB normally ,why? because the PS3 is the odd man out only its original games will be on 1 disc while everyone else's will be on 2-4 because its "industry standard" in the long run BR will only really save the PS3 from swapping discs,nothing more nothing less.
360:the 360 had its own issues with loading mostly because of rushed launch games it too uses HDD caching to improve performance,both the 360 and PS3 will be using similar techniques to improve their respective system
WII:is the odd man out using slightly older tech I am unsure how it manages data but I am sure Nintendo is doing the ebst to keep laod times down.

4.(Mindless PR prehaps?)
there is no counting for taste Hdef movies are rather tasteless right now in the eyes of most consumers you cant say otherwise they have yet to "upgrade" fully, DVD will be the main format for the next 5 years easily.
360:unlike the PS3 that forces you to drop 600 at once the 360 lets you buy a 200 add on,that right their wins a point,sadly locking the HDD and the hidden fail rate issues tarnish the 360's otherwise solid console.
WII:the wii is getting a DVD player version but I have always felted a game console should not try so hard to be something else....

5. HDMI HDMI is still a evolving standard Sony would have done better to build a conversion cable to bring Current Solid standards of Component and Digital Audio to whatever HDMI standard of the year is as long as its digitally protected HDCP would word with it .
360:the 360 has solid enough outpus and is gaining more current HDMI standard in the next revision thats coming later this year.

The PS3 dose well ot understand this "option".
Yes the 360 has a locked HDD,you can however plug a USB HDD into it however from my understanding you can move soem locked movie files and such to it.
WII:uses flash drives to store data.

7. fad?? (more PR perhaps?)
The WII is built around something both MS and Sony fail to understand Fun and innovation and FAMILY than focusing on graphics, power and whos edck is bigger,the WII can and wii do well over the next 5 years why because its cheap and innovative the PS3 fails to be cheap and do anythign new with game and yes the SAXAIS is more of a gimmick than the wii mote.
I do see the WII have trouble in the long run the without a innovation in gmaeplay they well muddle threw as well as the GC did,and yes I will say it the WIIs 4 year old graphics hurt it the most as dose MS's fail rate and sonys arrogance/price hurt them.
360:the 360(and PS3) is stuck in the Xbox days of power and stagnate innovation.

8.CPU and friends
And if devs set down and took the time they can harness the power of the 360 fully as well..rom all the infermation I have seen the bottle necks on the PS3 limit it to the 360 level of computing but the PS3 seems to compute physics more efficacntly bascily tis the gensisi boost processing V the SNES processing I'll give that the PS3 looks more like the SNES in terms of color and hardware but the genesis showed it could do just as well with its acquitted hardweare.
PS2:you brought it up
so lets recap why the PS2 did so well shall we?
Sega was in console death throws and was more unfriendly than sony to devs Nintendo was clinging to cart based gaming the PSX did well so devs decided the PS2 was their best choice because of that they made the PS2 what it was not all of the "exclusive" titles but the mass amount of great and odd 2rd and 3rd party titles.
Now sony has the balls to try and dump BWC in mid game this is not a good thing for consumers,so far they have showen more intrest in BWC than MS has but frankly I don't trust Sony to do whats right for the consumers.
Wii:the WII is a mix of the Xbox and GC so no big surprise its the odd man out in a power fight,it also is offerign full BWC and the prushase of most of their old games via their online service witch will boost sales and profits and gain them a indestructible niche for the next 6 years .

10.witch they are losing because of the delays and devs jumping ship ,add the console is hard to dev for less and less devs will choose it as their main system.
Since Nintendo is getting manhunt 2 it to has games for all and turely has games for kids and fmailes unlike the PS3 and the 360,the 360 will have the same scope of games as the PS3 so again theres no real "exclusivity" unless you count the WII who's turely family friendly.
the PS3 dose have more polish in its hardware has a full featured online setup with a MMO like VR world,however sonys arrogance has tarnished it and made devs leave it as a exclusive dev.
I see the PS3 doing a bit of what the PS2 and Xbox did gain ground on a mix of titles and wow the power worshiping crowd however it will lose allot of consumers by being so unfocused,in some ways this is like the N64 or Dreamcast ahead of its time but shortsighted in some aeras.
