When I went off to college, my parents bought me a Panasonic PV-D4733 Double Feature VCR/DVD player combo. It supposedly is supposed to play DVD-R discs, however this is a blatant lie. Now I use a Sony external DRX510UL, the +/- R(RW) drive. I have Fujifilm DVD-R discs. But I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't get the DVD to work on my player. I've used everything in terms of software, I know the DVDs works on other players. Is there something that someone knows about this model of Panasonic player or any other panasonic player?

Toshiba Satellite, 1.6ghz, Sony DRX-510UL external DVD burner, 256mb ram....any other info just ask.
