Hey guys, the riped file into the hard drive looks good but ater it is burned it gets stuck on the menu and it has no audio. If I press skip index then it freezes. I'm posting the Ripit4me log and hopefully some one can tell me how to fix it. thanks!
I should also menetion that this was burned on a dual layer DVD

What brand of blank DVD media are you using?
Also what speed did you burn at?
You could try burning with ImageBurn instead of Decrypter as it is a newer version of decrypter and will handel the layer break much easier than Decrypter.

it really helped me out
IMO the only good advise in that guide is at the end when they tell you to use +R and booktype the DVD (Of course they fail to mention not all DVD Writers will do this) Other than that if you are burning a dual layer disk why would you use DVD Shrink at all? That is a wasted process and un-needed.
1) Rip in ISO mode with Decrypter
2) Burn ISO with Decrypter
Thats all that really needs done!
I would recommend however due to Shrink and Decrypter being outdated that you use the following process.
1) Rip with DVDFab Decrypter
2) Burn with ImageBurn
Both of those proggies are updated often.
Edit
You can get ImageBurn Here
and DVDFab Decrypter Here

actually my DVDShrink uses Nero to burn the DVD. I use Memorex blanks to do this. It has given me similar problems few times in past but all I had to do was to rip and burn the "Movie only" and it worked fine. But I know it works just fine when I play the movie back on my computer from the riped file so I thought I could get some advise on how to this right the first time everytime.
I the past I tried and burned dvd as ISO (using a guide) with image burn but I could not play back the dvd. So if there is any simple guides that help me do this then that might resolve this problem for me.
Thank you all!

I was not intending to spread problems around Creaky:
"please don't spread problems across multiple threads, i've left this one open - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/490898"
I was asking a new question and I thought if I post it at the end of my previous Q. then no one will scroll down to the bottom of my previous Q to look for the new question. That's all.

thank you much bbmayo for your post. the problem was resolved, I ripped in ISO mode and then burned with Imageburn and it worked fine. the only problem with that was I can't skip the "Warning" messages to the main menu. but I took advise in downloading DVDfab since the consensus on this web site is DVDFab works better since it is still alive unlike DVD Decrypter.
The only thing with that is that I have to babysit the whole ripping and burning process step by step. While RipIt4Me does the whole thing with DVD Decrypter all the way to the point when I need to put in the Blank dvd and click burn botton in DVD Shrink.
Thanks again for everyone's help. It's awsome to have all these knowledge available in one place :)

For all my Star Wars DVD's i used just DVD Shrink doing movie only. Didn't use any quality enhancement in Shrink as far as i recall and don't remember the video compression ratio but they look real nice on my 32" HDTV..

I enjoyed your pictures. LOL
For those wanting to edit out the warnings and a trailer or 2, but selectively keep some of the extras, that means ripping in file mode. In the past some DVDs have required compliance processing, since ISO locks up the files, it's sometimes preferable to use File mode. It's no problem since ImgBurn can set the layer break for the files, create an ISO and burn. It works out the same only with file mode you can access the files during the process, if needed or desired.

I'm with Creaky on this one, when I was still using shrink, I was also able to back up all of my Star Wars DVDs using only shrink (movie only). Had shrink create an ISO image and autoburned to disk using decrypter (used sony media and burned at 4X speed). Great special effect!
