Burn DVD 3.0 question avi to DVD

I downloaded a trial of Burn DVD 3.0 since it says " produce DVD, VCD or SVCD from movie files or music video files saved on your hard disk in various formats (MPEG, AVI, DV-AVI, WMV, ASF)."

It was simply to follow the steps, but after 6 hours of buring an avi movie (712meg 1.5 hour 720 X 320) ... my computer doesn't recognize any data on the DVD, said it was 0 used and 0 free, and none of my DVD players see the movie.

I do have XP home, and saw this thread abouthttp://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48132 don't know if it could be related..

Anyone have experience with burn dvd 3.0 or have any idears??
