converting xvid to dvd will be such a long procedure (if it can be done..which i doubt) i honestly recommned u give up the process
and only stick to coverting divx to dvd

Are you ready for the rear impossible instructions?

1. download TMPEnc Plus.
2. Run it.
3. Select DVD NTSC (or PAL if in UK)
4. Select the xVid file to be converted.
5. Drop down the max file size with the down arrow to achieve 100% or less.
6. Do something for 2.5 to 3 hours.

Wha-la..You just completed the impossible!

Congrats!

It should also be noted that I use DVD-Lab to author the DVD. IMHO, it's the best and easiest to use software, readily available.

Good luck.

Hey, i'm new here so please feel free to slap the new guy. I have found that the easiest authoring tool is Spruce up,although i use a number of tools depending on how fancy i want the menu etc. BUT can any of u guys tell me what is the best tool for doing animated dvd menus?

Doing xvid i use:

1. Virtual dub to convert to AVI using divx 5 codec.
2. TMPGEnc to convert to dvd ready to go through spruce up.
3. Burn with copy to dvd or Nero.

Its a long process but the best for good results (well that i have found so far)

Try DVD-Lab. It's free for 30 days and they have a tutorial on their site for making animated menus. IMHO, it's the esiest setup for menus and linking multiple movie files.
