my umd drive doesn't read discs. it didn't fall or anything its like a defect. it never read them in the first place. any tutorials on how to replace it?
its like $20 on ebay.

If it never read them in the first place, why didnt you take it back and get it replaced?

yea what sudd said, either take it back, OR
buy a replacement laser
it require taking about the motherboard, so you basically have to take everything out until you get to the bottom, where the UMD door screws are.

yeah i opened it all up and lifted the mother board to open the drive and fixed it. now i need a new umd door cuz i broke it. can i get one within $15 shipped?
