What UMD needed to play ISO

I just bought PSP yesterday, Just to ask, firmware aside, an UMD is needed in order to play most of the PSP games. Is a movie UMD does the job?

No! Any umd beside a movie umd will work (real game as well as demo umd will work).

Well, I can gurantee you no one has a blank UMD. UMDs are pressed, not burned, meaning that UMDs aren't made unless they have some kind of data on them to start with.
