i am sure as long as it has the via 6421 chipset, you should be fine.

I just got through flashing my 360 with my laptop and the easiest way I found was to use the X360USB. This is because I have the Hitachi drive though. If you have the Hitachi then this is the way to go with a laptop

you could buy a USB > SATA device but that'll only work with early hitachi drives.. that's the only thing that can be used with a laptop if i remember correct

ok i completed everything with success, the way i did it was:

i used the textbook tutorial,
I used esata card and ran esata cbl to sata cbl on 360.
I got an old junk desktop i had and turned it on just so i could get a power supply from it for the xecuter conn kit. Then i hooked conn kit power to dvd-rom(that i pulled out of the 360 case) via the small cable included with kit. Then i booted up laptop in safe mode with networking(because i read somewhere that you needed to do that). Then i followed the textbook tutorial for flashing and everything worked. I have only 1 Coaster in 6 tries. I have noticed that .dvd files work best with clonecd as my only Coaster was .000 file with clonecd. Gonna try .000 file with xbox backup creator next to see if that works.

i will tell you this, i was able to flash my hitachi drive with laptop and esata card but with samsung 25 flash, dos could never find my esata card and i read on here and other places that you cant with an esata card. That you have to have a via 6421L chipset.
