XMB memory stick help!

i have just put on the black32_encore4 XMB style and after i finished my psp loaded up fine and everthing else worked fine but then when i tried to access my MS from the XMB screen it didnt let me??? it loaded for a couple of seconds and the drop down menu with my PSX games and emulators didnt appear? can someone tell me how to solve this.
