Problems with Verbatim DataLife 2X DVD-Rs

I bought a pack of the Verbatim DataLife 2X DVD-Rs and they seem to have slight problems with the TDK 440N burner. When I play the disc back in a DVD Player, while the video playback is fine, the DVD players usually have trouble when you press the "Play Movie" option from the disc menu. It either takes a long time for the movie to start playing, or it will take a long time then the player will tell me "Unable to read disc" I burned the same movie onto a DVD+RW and an El-Cheapo DVD-R and they played fine.

Either burn without the menus or just don't use the Verbs - a bit strange since they are more reliable than most others.
