I am on FW 2.71, I wish to install DevHook v0.52.0100
Is there any possibility that this bricks my PSP??
Doesnt is write to FLASH 0??

yes.... i suggest you downgrade to 1.50 and install OE-C.....DEVhook is outdated for PSPs w/ your firmware...and there may be less of a chance in bricking your psp by going to 1.50 then subsequently to 3.03 OE-C or 3.10 OE-A.....

I am just asking if its possible for installing DevHook 0.52 on FW 2.71
I just bricked my PSP so cant take the risks of downgrading

i'm using 2.71 ta-082 psp and emulating 3.03 on devhook .052100 or something...i think this is pretty safe than downgrading to 1.50 and upgrading to a custom firmware...although outdated....it's much safer because you'll only be using ur memory stick.

how can that app be usefull still? folks must still like it, because they didnt want to downgrade; since some scared likkle kid told them it would destroy their psp.......

anyone care to explain to me why you would choose devhook over an OE?

At the end of the day any daft enough to bother with devhook instead of using cfw is welcome to the hassle of it all.

Given some of the posts made on this board though, I would think there are plenty people stooopid enough to brick their PSP no matter how easy the downgrade process is :) Its scary how difficult some people make it all look.
