Help..! I got the VirtualDub program and had tries to split my big size AVI file into 2 parts..Unfortunately, when it was in half of the progress, my PC restart. Then, i restart the whole splitting pocess again after my PC restart, but everytime when it comes to half of the porgress for the first part of the video, my PC restart again. It seems like my PC will never let the whole process done. Could anyone here help me on my problems?

You can also look up AVIChop (small, simple), JFuse (IMO, icky) and AVI Split Calc 3.47 (an awesome front-end for NANDUB)

Thankx for the replies. I really appreciated it. Er, i was offline when i tried to the file. Anyhow, i managed to slit the AVI file nicely using a program call Easy Video Splitter. Thanks for the concern again.

i think it is better to split the video when it is in mpeg when using easy video splitter because the AVI have codec and are not as stable as the mpeg
i dont know if stable was the word i was lookin for but i find that splitting the AVI has more audio video sync problems than splitting mpg

Yeah, VirtualDubMod is great for splitting big AVIs. I usually process movie files to 1300MB, then make two parts with VDM. I find that file size total makes it easy to find a good edit point to split a film (using the Key Frame buttons in VDM) to put on two 700MB discs (I just play movies on my PC, so I'm not into SVCDs, etc.).
