the problem is a lack of know how out of those 30 users some will be on broadband some on modems .on kazza ive found that people try to upload to too many users at the same time they just dont have the bandwidth so you get slow downloads.

Have you tried clicking the "find more sources" option while downloading?

Never download a movie from Kazaa. -_- And check your connections settings. If the max. sources per file is too large, and you allow like 20 simultaneous downloads, then it's gonna mess up your speed. Try downloading Spyware scanner to see if you've got anything slowing down your connection as well.
Everyone is entitled to their own true opinion. Either respect that or don't.

Check in the bottom of the Kazaa window. In the like status bar, If there are not something arounf a few millions of users then and very little files then you have connected to bad supernode. Just close Kazaa and restart it.
Also when searching in Kazaa for files. Sort the list according to the bandwidth column. Just try and download from ones that have a high bandwidth and, if there is, more than one user.
I personally have not had problems like yours <inder> but the only time it happened was when I connected to bad supernode.

I don't think any of the solutions I've seen here really address a basic problem that frustrates a lot of users, although all of the solutions will help in some cases. I am getting 0.xx speeds, even from one user at a time, with no other activity. I have DSL. I have measured my up/down speed capabilites at http://www.dslreports.com/stest and get over 500 kbps, and I can download from other sites in a flash. I have just formatted my hard drive, and am operating from a fresh system, with no spyware (I checked with two products after loading Kazaa). Other people on my same network get, say 5.xx or better. I used to get maybe 50.xx combined on my downloads. Now it's more like 1.xx combinded.
I have the same slow downloads with Kazaa, Kazaa Lite ++ and an older version of Kazaa. Somebody mentioned bad supernodes. Can you select a supernode?

yep...u can..with da l8est version of k lite..
its got kazupernodes..a program which lets u select the one u wanna go to..
and yes..its accelrator mode will let u hit top peaks of ur bandwidth within 20-30 mins..
though all these ..will go to waste..if the no of fake files doesnt go down

Actually recently ISP's have been limiting bandwidth on certain ports for their customers, my isp limited port 4662 but problems like these are, well easy to get around anyway :-)
