I have been reading all morning and afternoon from searches I've done on this forum, and don't seem to be getting any where. I thought if there was someone that is knowledgeable enought they would share that and donate a few minutes to answer my question
My question: I ripped GOW2 using DVD Decrypter. I have a .ISO and .MDS file. When I trying to do ISO>write, DVD Decrypter says I should have chosen .MDS file and it'll do it for me this time but don't do it again. I just want to burn it on a dual layer DVD+R without all these patches and other lengthy processes. I believe my PS2 is a version 14 with a Matrix Infinity Green DOT that is about a year old. CAN ANYONE TELL ME A SIMPLE WAY TO BURN THE 8.X GIG .ISO FILE AN EASY "1-2-3" WAY?
I WOULD ALSO LIKE SOME HELP ON BACKING UP MY COPY OF God of War 2 I HAVE USE THREE DISCS SO FAR AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK TWO WITH OUT THE PATCH AND ONE WITH THE PATCH AND THE ONE WITH THE PATCH I COULD VIEW THE CREDITS BUT IT WOULDN'T WORK WHEN IT COMES TO THE PART WITH THE BRIGDE. AND I GET A MESSAGE FROM MY SONIC DLA PROGRAM SAYS THERES A PROBLEM WITH MY VOLUME LOCK WHAT CAN I DO I CANT AFFORD MORE DISC'S AS WELL AS I DONT KNOW WHAT CHIP I HAVE ALL I KNOW IS ITS A YEAR OLD.
I also got a question. I'm forced to ask; I've wasted 3 Verabtim DVD+R DL discs and tried other tips on the site. My drive is a LG GSA-H20L on the latest firmware -- 1.02, reads and writes DVD+R,-R, -R DL,+R DL. When I check my capabilities with DVD Decrypter it says I can write DVD+R DL, but not DVD-R DL, but ImgBurn says I can burn both. I'm using ImgBurn for all three attempts and the farthest I've gotten is upto 50%, when it's about to go to the next sector and to the L1 layer, usually around 2,800,000 sectors, it's write speed goes down to 0 and waits for a several seconds and aborts, it says it misread from sector A to sector B and could not write. I'll try to post screenshots of my errors and capabilities later, but does anybody know what could be wrong? I'm using Verabtim DVD+R DL 8X and the God of War II ISO is the Echeleons version. I have 2 DL discs left and I want to save at least one so I can try to burn God of War I on the other, so hopefully someone can offer me a soultion, otherwise I think I downloaded 17 GIGs for nothing and have to go the downsizing route.
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY CAN SOMEONE MAKE ME A BACKUP OF THERE COPY SO I CAN TRY IT OUT ILL PAY FOR THE DISC JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT MY PS2. SINCE I TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING WORKS.
check it FELLY718 had a buddy of mine make me a copy on DL and regular dvd both play excellent don't ask me how he did it but he did. My burner will not do a DL disc but will do a regular DVD-R copy it's been done, plays, loads the whole nine if you need a copy hit me up @ HellACast@gmal.com
Hey you guys should check your DVD drive capabilities cause DVD decypter said mine couldn't burn DVD-R DL and yet i checked it out on the net and I can do em. So i burnt mine off with the Toxic patch and all seems fine so far. I used Verterbrim or whatever it is DVD-R DL I read that PS2 Loves DVD-R DL not so much the DVD+R DL. GOOD LUCK :)
Ive made a copy of God of War 2 on a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc and i would like to know if it will work all the way to the end without it having been patched with Toxic Dual Layer patcher?
I have burnt with Verbatium DVD+ DL be4 and haven't had much luck but it all depends on how good ur burner is and on what model ps2 and mod chip you have. I would say the best bet is to just do a DVD-DL verbatium disc. Its worked for me and im way past the halfway point in the game, Also you should use the Toxic patcher.
The copy that i made of God of War 2 was with a Verbatim DVD+R DL and the iso wasnt even patched with Toxic Dual Layer patcher and it worked. I burned it with A pioneer 111D drive and it went past the halfway mark on the bridge with Icarus. It was a bit glitchy when the ps2 changed layers but it worked fine. I dont know what mod chip ive got because i got it fitted by some local guy and all he said that it was a mod chip.
