HALLEJUAH!!! The backing up of RAC worked! (Haven't noticed any crashes i just know it works)
I didn't want to double post in that ''Will this work'' topic, and i dunno how to edit.
Anyway
1.In DVD Decrypter, there is an option to change the region code of DVDs, so i could like take an official game, and change the region = i don't need to use Modchip anymore! (at least to play imports) But it sounds too suspicious...
I burned okami with DVD Decrypter on 1x and it actually burnt surprisingly fast but it takes a loooooooong time to load + music freezes at times, what do i do? Also is there a way to clean my lens? (fat ps2)
Try burning it at half the speed. A 16x disc with 8x. 8x with 4x and so forth. And as for being unable to erase, your DVD-R is not a RW a.k.a. a rewritable, and you shouldn't even be using an DVD+/-RW. If you do, suit yourself. I found out the hard way with my first batch of games. Oh, and btw, your burner probably didn't even burn it at 1x. You should set the speed manually in the options of DVD Decryptor. 1x does not take 10 mins. More like an hour or so pending on such and such.
And i told it to burn at 1x and it was about 1-3 gigs i don't remember.
It's probably screwed up because the dow***ad didn't go very well and some files were missing. I figured out the DVD didn't erase because it wasn't RW. So is DVD-RW good for fat ps2 with swap magic 3.8?
rw = bad. stick with -r. Some ps2 units have trouble reading +r disks. My PS2 will only read -r but a friends can read -r or +r. I have not found one that likes rw disks yet. So I only use -r and have never had a problem.
