Why can't I Burn with DVD2oneX2.1.2

Mac G4/ OS X 10.4.9

When I was running 10.3.9 I burnt Pirates of the Carribean with DVD2oneX2. Since upgrading to 10.4.9 I can't burn anything. Burning stops a few minutes into the burn, time says 6.xx minutes but burn goes to 100%, then hangs and I have to cancel to get out, but DVD2One freezes.
Is there a reason everyone seems to be using Toast instead of DVD2One?
