would it be worthwhile downloading the latest ImgBurn software?
the current programs on my PC are Clone + Any / DVD Decrypter /DVD Shrink 3.2 and of course Nero 7 premium but the clone + any +decrypter + shrink are obviously out of date... will ImgBurn have any advantages over the others or would it just be overkill?
I don't download a great deal of warez so I wanted the afterdawn opinions
one more thing I trust it would have to be clean and spyware free from the afterdawn and official sites.
my main purpose would be for backup and ripping and perhaps the occasional protected title.

I just did some research it seems ImgBurn is what the exact name suggests could anyone recommend any other free dvd authoring programs?
perhaps RipIt4Me might be worth it.
just looking for software that has some punch like Any + Clone with the free and clean option.
any suggestions would be welcome also perhaps an idea of the size/mb because I am still on dial-up

ImgBurn, is a fine alternative to Nero. It is free of any nasties, and will give no problems. Ripit is another great tool to have in your backup arsenal. Get it HERE. File size for img is around 1.5mb and the zip for ripit is around 170kb.

I have dial-up too. I have downloaded RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS,Shrink, Imgburn. If you have Netscape after you open it
you should minimize it to your task bar and open your Internet
Explorer then do the downloads. I also run AnyDVD and Nero. So
far I have had no problems with conflicts. You do have to shut off
AnyDVD before running rip it for me.
None of the downloads took over 6 min. They were well worth the
time.
On the most difficult videos I have been running DVD Decrypter with
AnyDVD in the background. Then I process the files through FixVTS.
After that I process the files with Shrink to an ISO and then burn
with Imgburn. It's really easy after you get comfortable with using
those programs. There are some really tremendous guides on Afterdawn
that walk you through the process.
