Hi there, i recentley bought a PSP, i was playing game on it until it just turned off, i thought it was the battery so i put it on charge, i realized that when i put the charger in, the orange like came on for 1 second and then went off, liek i said, first time buying it so i thought thats how it charges, i left it for 30 mins and then tried openning it, i swtiched it on, the green light came on but nothing on the screen.
i took out the battery and then put it back in, now the psp opens but that problem happens again, i have to take the battery out everytime ii switch it on :S
Now, when i go into the "Settings" section, everything is locked except usb connection and network update :S

why is this happening?

It doesn't sound like the PSP has been accidentally password protected, try taking the battery out for 20 minutes then put it back in.

if you got it from the store return it or use the sony warrnty if you got it off ebay or something like that its brobily bricked

i bought it from a store but doesnt psp get bricked when try downgrading it or somthing?

it can get bricked while downgradin but tht if u dont follow the instructions properly

go to the store , tell that fool to replace it imeadeatly or u sue his shitty store lol.

now seriously, just go with you psp to the store in an angry mood and say u want it replaced. they'll replace it 4 ya.
