Howdy. I searched the forums for this subject but came up with nothing, so here's my question!:

I got a v12 ps2. Installed a dms4 se lite and installed the neo xiv laser fix that came with the chip. Anyway, the unit more often than not power up (the red led won't illuminate) when the power jack is plugged in. I noticed that I can remove the 'K' wire on the neo board and the light will come on, and I can connect the 'K' wire after it turns on (red led on) and it stays on. Has anyone had this problem before. I've had it twice. Every connection is beautiful and the mod chip works flawlessly.

To circumvent my problem, I've added an external switch to the unit (momentary pushbutton switch, normally closed). When power is applied, my added button needs to be pressed (breaking the 'K' wire connection momentarily) for the red power led to come on, after which the unit operates normally.

I'd just like to know why the hell I'm having this problem?! Stupid version 12 units!!!
