You have to flash the firmware. ....You can only do that with a Hitachi or Samsung drive (not the Benq). ...Here's how to find out which drive you have by the tray....

Just eject the drive to see which one of the pics it looks like (the actual tray bit)
then once you know that you will need to take the box apart to see what rom version you have.

you are most likely not looking at the correct thing.
could you tell by the DVD drive tray which it was, that is step #1

Compare your tray (the pop holder) to the pictures that Sandwich1 posted. Then you will know which drive you have.

unfortunatly the next step is opening it and figuring out which model. do not get too excited as there is one model Hitachi that is not yet flashable (Hitachi 0079)

then after that here is a good guide on flashing it, you may want to either get a connectivity kit from Xecuter or Xeno, or even their new products. The new products are the Xeno Top Gear, and Xecuter Blaster 360. Both of which you open the case and install and then you will never have to open your case again to flash it. With a connectivity kit you have to open it every time there is a new flash you want.

hopefully your PC has SATA ports with a compatible chipset to flash it, if not you can get the Xecuter USB connectivity kit and do it through USB if you have the HITACHI-LG GDR-3120L
