i hav just returned from japan and while i was there i was able 2 get a gud friend of mine to let me in on a lil slip-up that sony made conserning their ps3

ere goes he as a coder has a PRE-LINE manufactured ps3 600gb

anyway

he says that the loader he uses has nowt 2 do with hacking code or anything 2 do with burning bd-r's

as ps3 is region free as in games the machine is no bios as such

he says that the code is in the games them selfs so if u get a jap game and play it on uk ps3 game works BUT eres the clue

the online code collapsses hence no updates via game

so the trick is not 2 upgrade firmware past 1.53
then if u no how hex nand other coding / hacking is about then look via pc not at ps3 as that is how he tests code on his
and it is exactly the same specs as a retail ps3

then u can make a by-pass code (iso loader)

i hav seen this work but he cudnt let me havc a copy of his loader code as it was contractly owned by sony and he wud face prison so
i pass on the info 4 u lot at paradox

i have followed u from the days ov the amiga a500
