I was just wondering if you have to have an original PS2 DVD or CD to load back up games using cogswap.

I have successfully loaded cogswag, cdloader, and even swap magic lite 3 onto my memory card using Tiger Woods 99' PS1 disk as my trigger disk.

Now in oder to load a backup, I understand I need and Original PS2 DVD larger in size than the back up I am intending to play..Is this correct that I need and original or is there a way to load only backup games without an original around. And what if my backups have been shrunk down to fit onto a single DVD...will they work at all?

any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, from what Ive heard you need an original ps2 game with a TOC bigger then the backup you are trying. But also dont try using dual layered cause I think it only looks at the first layer which probly ends up being smaller then your back up.

Yet I have never really needed to use cogswap this is just what Ive heard.

PS2 Silver Simline & Swap Tool Pro v2

thanks for the response.
Looks like there is no replacement for having a modchip or Swap Magic if you only have backed up games like me since most of my originals are at my EX ol' lady's house.
