When playing a bluray movie or a DVD how do you get the ps3 to save were the movie is up to when the console is switched off. The ps3 will start playing were it last finished if you quit playback and don?t turn off the console why wont it save once the console has been switched off.

Probably because it stores the info needed in temp ram but when you shut off or restart the console it clears that info out.
