I need a new DVDRW to back up my games and make back ups. I'd like it to be able to handle Verbatim DVD+R 16x MIJ. DL would be nice too but if it makes the drive more expensive than 40 bucks than i can do without it. I'd also like the drive to be able to booktype to DVD-ROM as my old Lite-on refuses to do so even though its an option.

well it is not $40 but it is close, and a really good drive that can do both DL media, booktype (use Qsuite, which is free, and it will booktype all DVD+R and DVD+R DL to DVD-Rom)and can also do lightscribe (also free software) if you ever wanted it to.
