mpeg files only playing fragements

well i have 3 files that are like this way, my problem is this..

i have downloaded an mpeg file which is about 65mb but when i play it in windows media and winamp its time left display says 14 seconds, then it gets to the 14 seconds and freezes

so it is only playing a fragment of the video...and if i place the marker on a certain spot on the search bar itll play a diferent fragment but only for the time remaining on the time left

please help!

Try playing them in DivX player if they still do it they're probably f'ed up, maybe re-encoding would help, usually when I get a file that does that I trash it, and find another copy.
