USB Extreme Help Please

Hi I am new at this and I need some help if you can I have PS2 Slim 74002 trying to use USB Extreme Have formated the USB HDD installed game useing wininst set it all up after I use swap magic to start up downloaded copy of USB Extreme the screen comes up as it should but it just does't recognise the USB HDD so it can't see the games, I have put a folder on the USB HDD and called it SwapMagic and renamed the the USB Advanced.ELF file to SWAPMAGIC.ELF and pasted it to SwapMagic folder so now when I conect it to PS2 and put SwapMagic in it starst up USB Advanced from the HDD but it still can't see the games an dit is still saying no USB drive connected!!!! Please can anyone help me set it up properly
