Ok I have tried everything to get this dumb hitachi 46d to play backups. My orignals play, my dvd's and backup dvd's play. I tried the POT fix. My original setting was at 2.83 so that gave me nothing at all to work with being that its recommended not to go below 2.8

I have done the rubberband/plastic= no go
I have tried the softboot with the hd cable=no go

All I get is the open tray/please insert this disc into a 360 console..

I am so desparate right now as I feel that my options are wearing thin. Should I try and hit the POT down to 2.5 just to see if the games run or just order a new laser? Or should I just get another dvd drive off ebay and install it in my 360 and flash that?

I am using
Pioneer 111d
Verbs at 2.4x
Hitachi flashed with Garyopa (latest version)
Imgburn and Clone cd
XBC and Schtrom to burn
