1. turn off the caps lock
2. stop using generic title threads like "help" or "simple question here". do u even know how many "help" threads or "simple question" threads we have? besides these "simple questions" are being asked over and over again and get annoying
3. to answer ur question, its called recovery mode, for accessing flash via usb, changing cpu speed, and some other handy options... if u don't even a custom firmware, don't even bother with it

there are options in there, i already said...like enabling 'use no umd', enabling and disabling some plugins u can download, disable the coldboot (the screen that comes up when u turn on ur psp, u can have it skip it to save time), and the most useful imo, enabling usb connection to ur flash0 folder so u can just copy files over to flash to have custom themes, and possibly the most potentially useful, u can recover ur psp if semi brick, not brick, brick is unrecoverable, but u can recover a semi brick and go back to 1.5. then u can upgrade again to 3.03 oe-c.

i don't know any specifics, but the difference between the brick and semi brick is in semi brick u can still access recovery menu, while in brick, nothing works at all. if ur in recoeyr menu then u can have the option to use the recovery eboot. if u don't have the recovery eboot on ur memory stick u also have the option of connecting to the computer by usb and then u can copy over the recovery files and then run them.
