Hello, i installed the flip top case. however, the spindle that came with it apparently did not have a magnet. when i put a disk in, it bounced all over the place and made a bunch of noise. I replaced it with the original ps2 spindle, and it dosent do the bouncing and the clicking, but it wont read disks. not even originals. does anybody have an idea of what the problem is?

an update: reinstalled original shell. all games work fine. the guide i used, however, said somthing about an eject ribbon, which my ps2 did not have.
