Hi, I am going to buy a PSP as my son's birthday present, but I'm getting confused because there are lots of different firmware versions on the Ebay. Just wondering what version of firmware I should buy.

As low as you can but defo nothing above 3.03 as that is the highest fw you can downgrade at the moment. For a 3.03fw downgrade you will also need an unpatched version of GTA LCS. That is assuming you want to downgrade and run your backup games from the mem stick ;)

If you are buying from ebay and the FW is an OE-x (open edition) then that would save you the hassle of doing it yourself. again assuming you want to play back up games.
