Just want you to know the latest (or last) version of Ripit4me handled The Last King of Scotland, Notes on a Scandal and Smokin' Aces (all movie only) without any problems.

Don't know about the first two but Smokin' Aces can be backed up with little old DVD_Decrypter.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Shrink with AnyDVD also worked.

Since the movie industry hasn't changed the copy protections recently, RI4M is still not obsolete. I'm wondering how long it will be? As it is, all the major players are getting the job done with the new (and old) releases.

They have actually locked and the Eggheads up in a small room, deprived them of nicotine, caffiene, and pizza until they come up with an unbreakable code. Right about now they have all gone stark raving mad and are consuming each other.

The Last King of Scotland & Notes on a Scandal can be done with just shrink, nothing else needed.

Backed up Smokin Aces, Freedom Writers, Last King of Scotland with ripit4me vers 1.7.1.0 movie & menu with no problems. I recently installed a lite-on shm-165H6s. I also have another lite-on shhw 812@ 832s but was not reading certain DVDs. I believe certain older models will give you problems on certain newer realeases. I also have AnyDVD which very good to have worth the price. LOL

Until the the movie industry makes a change in the copyright protection, RI4M will remain good for the new releases.
