I am using CloneCD to backup my XBOX 360 games because my Xbox creator stopped working. It takes my computer about 40 mins to read the game using the Kreon Samsung DVD (I bought it off ebay with the latest firmware installed), and then another 1+ hour to burn it at 2x speed as recommended here. It shouldn't take that long, should it? I used to able to burn the games using XBox Creator, but somehow the program just stopped working after I only used it twice.
I wonder if it has something to do with the auto update from Microsoft Window. Anyone with any suggestions for me to do so I can burn my games quicker, please help! Thanks in advance!!!!
i use clone cd and it normally takes about 45 mins at 2.4
so if your useing just two then that would be about right.
bear in mind that a xbox 360 image is usualy about 7.5gb
to burn that lot on to cd would take about a dozen discs so
it's not that long really
but it is a mammoth pain in the a*s waiting for them lol
if your discs have a 6X or 8X max then you can try cranking up the burn speed to 4X. My discs are a 6X max and i do all my back ups at 4X. BUt it still takes about 45 minutes to burn one.
I usually leave the READ speed at the default of 12x. Takes about 10 minutes to read the game. If there are errors during the READ process, then I redo at 6x. Out of all my backups, I've only had 2 that had errors.
