Converting .AVI/.MPG Files

I have downloaded alot of movie files that are either .avi or .mpg. Is there a way that I can convert them so that I can burn the movies like a regular DVD movie using CloneDVD or FabDVD, etc etc

If you have Nero you can use Vision to convert and burn them.

If not here's a free one - DivXtoDVD.

You can then use CloneDVD to burn or another burning program of your choice.
