I am looking to buy a PSP and I'd like to use it to watch videos, particularly as a in-car player for my daughter. The question I have is the video quality PSP has compatible to the regular portable dvd players? Is it the same? Is it worse?
if ur going to use a memory stick, if ur going to watch full length movies, they can be from 400 to 700 mb in my experience. they were converted from dvdrips, so i guess thats also a factor. if ur going to convert from a full rip, then i guess the movies would be over a gigabyte.
i don't recommend a psp as ideal to use in a car with multiple people watch it would realy hurt your eyes as the screen is small the psp is something you would hold with 2 hand and put it close to your face
My IQ is 152,some people call me a PSP Guru as i can

Alot depends on the source file as well.
You can rip your VOB file off the DVD (around 4.5+ gigs) and convert to MP4.
Saves you having to lug your DVD,s around.
Compressions settings vary (if your familiar with AVI SYNTH SCRIPT this will help) i generally encode at 650 for video and 128 for audio, add afew tweaks and the resulting file is brilliant.
If you need any help just gimme ashout.
