I just purchased a laptop with XP Media Edition, I just can't get the screen saver to work. After the alloted time the screen saver does NOT come on. If I have not loaded any softwares it works, but if i have any software running or minimized or just loaded, it does not work. I don't want to have image burn into the screen. Please help.
Still waiting
Thanks

Stays on the software I am using. If I minimize all of them then it remains there. But I am glad that it does not burn in.

There are several. These same programs never gave me these issues on my old desktop which use to run on ME.
I have a special estimating software, Fax software, & Outlook.
But it matters not which software I am using, does the same thing.

Try to apply the screen saver and bring the time for the screen saver to start to 1 minute and then see if it changes.

Yes it is. Lucky I did not know this but the fact that LCD don't burn is good for me.
Perhaps IO should look up Microsoft help site, their might be something there.
