God of War 2 on HDD w/DMS4 Pro

I just bought God of War 2, and now im trying to put it onto my hard drive. My computer says that the GoW2 disc is 3.97GB. I've read that this game is over 8GB and can be pressed down to 3.97 DVD5. But my disc reads 3.97 right off the bat. Okay....thinking that the job was already done for me, I copied it straight to my PS2's Hard Drive. The game loads and plays, but it blacks out right before Kratos has just finished 'shrinking'.

I have a DMS4 Pro Mod Chip flashed with Toxic 0.4. I remove my PS2's HDD and put it in my computer for transfering. I use WinHIIP as the transfer program. I have GoW2 running on Mode 3.

Any Help?
