Has anyone had any luck making more than one copy without going through encoding etc., Simply put would like to make more than one copy of a DVD and at the same time saving time! Thanks!
basically what shardell wrote, when using Shrink or any encode/transcode make then write an ISO or a Video_ts folder to the HDD, then burn manually however many times you want
Yes what all the others said & if you are also using Burning programs Like Nero or Roxio They will allow you to Simultaneous Recording Which is what I think you might have meant? Recording Multiple Copies of the same Disc image/ Iso. File at once ! if that is indeed what you meant ?

If you are referring to burning multiple copies of the same movie at the same time, it can be done. One way is to have a separate tower in which to house multiple DVD Writers, or if it is on your stand alone system with two writers then you can burn two movies at the same time.
You will need to have two burning programs such as Nero, ImgBurn, or any other burning software. Your files do not have to be ISO images as so many people say, but as long as you have enough memory in you machine to run the separate applications you may run each of them at the same time. If you have and external burner you may run three at the same time. If you need elaborate detail in how to perform this I will help you out.
What process are you using: Example: Rip+compress with DVD Shrink,autoburn with Nero.
1st rip:
If you have DVD Shrink and set it to autoburn with nero/dvd decrypter/or CopyToDVD,then after your first rip,those files go to your harddrive.You can simply open up dvd shrink/open disc/let it quickly analyze/either reauthor or entire disc/then click Backup.
When the next window pops up,those are all your backup options.The opening window is your target device-which you select your drive to burn with nero/decrypter/or CopyToDVD. Below that,is your select folder for temporary files.That is where your movies go. Click on the folder icon,select your movie to go to-example: C:/ Saw3 or G:/Blade 3.Or you can click browse and make a folder for it and OK-Just remember where those files go because this if what you want to fish out for multiple copy after copy.
Double check the rest of the backup options and click OK-process starts. Shrink may do a slow analysis-depending on ticking the AEC enhancements on the backup options/then encodes to harddrive/ejects original/insert blank-unless you have dual DVD-RW drives/than autoburn.
After that backup is done,your movie is already compressed,no encryption,and properly sized.
Multiple Copies after the 1st rip:
All you have to do is simply insert blank disc/open up dvd shrink/ click Open Files/Locate that movie from your harddrive/s/allow for a very quick 30 sec analysis/Backup/ then you'll have to have a different folder to put those temp files on.It won't allow you to use that same folder that it just pulled them from.
This is where you want to go to Target device tab/ Select Folder for Temp Files/click folder and find an old title,or simply click browse and create another folder called Old Dvd Movies. Double check the rest of the backup options /OK.
You will then have that movie on your harddrive twice. If you need many copies,just keep adding blanks/use that same old dvd files folder for your temp files/ok and keep going.
If going to a different movie,do the same,just create it's own titled folder on the 1st rip,and use the Old DVD files folder for the extra copies. You don't have to delete the old files immediately.Every backup you do,it'll ask you if you want to erase the previous files,click ok and the next copy will go onto,and so forth.
1 thing to be cautious of, Since there'll be 2 folders,you'll have approx 8.5 gbs on your harddrive. If you have limited unused HD space,it will be a major issue.
