Recording from video to InterVideo WinDVD creator

Hi,

I have an HP Media Centre PC which came with an Hauppauge WinTV card. I could record from my video recorder using scart to composite link with this card. I have since replaced the card with Hauppauge WinTv HVR 1300 card to get digital channels as well.

Everything works OK with Windows Media Centre but when I try to record video using InterVideo WinDVD Creator I now can't get any signal from the Composite input. It used to work perfectly with the old card and both cards have the same inputs (composite). I also can seem to pick up any of the digital channels, which may be related to the problem as well. The version I have is 2.5 and it came with the PC so isn't supported.

Do I need up update to V3 of WinDVD Creator or is there some other problem? Is there a better piece of software I can use to capture video onto my PC than WinDVD creator? It's lousy for burning DVDs as it continually drops frames and makes the resultant DVD play in a stop-start jerky manor.

I use TMPGEnc DVD Author and Express for processing mpeg files and burning to DVD.

Any ideas to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
