2 problems:

1) Should there be multiple vob files or just one? Or are the merged later as mpegs?

2) I cant convert them to mpegs. I followed all the instructions, it goes fine until the dos window comes up and starts going throuhg frames and gives errors saying that "its outside fo parameters" or something along those lines. Any ideas as what could be wrong?

What instructions/tools are you using? Normally there are multiple VOB files as maximum VOB file size is normally 1GB and movies take usually 4GB.

Im using the "AllnOne" package. I tried using farious aspect rations if that could be it. Its also giving me errors of "invalid motion_type.." or "invalid vector_type". thanks

Can't help much as I haven't tried those, kinda out of date, DVD ripping packs. Instead, consider using this guide:
