Time Warner disabled a few few features!

Hi,

I just found out Time Warner disabled a couple key features on the Scientific Atlanta 8300HD PVR it loaned to me.

1) check the disk space
2) copy recordings to VCR via composite audio/video out at the back

They're documented on the device manual from Scientific Atlanta but are not seen in the menu, which seems to have been customized by Time Warner.

Does anyone know a workaround?
